The increase in health will give all your characters a little extra breathing room in case something goes wrong - and that will happen often. Protect your investment 'cause bullcrits do happen. The first three will provide better support while the Leper will be able to hit something for once. Meanwhile, support characters (Jester, Vestal, Occultist) and the Leper will want to upgrade their skills as early as possible.
